Beautifully decorated and stylishly furnished, with its main living area and bedrooms on the first floor, Church View is a wonderful place to return to at the end of a day’s exploring. The village has a good range of small shops, cafes and pubs serving food, and just 17 miles away lies the historic cathedral city of Durham, whilst cosmopolitan Newcastle with its excellent shopping, great architecture and lively nightlife is only 24 miles’ drive. The Beamish Living History Museum, Barnard Castle and Killhope Lead Mining Museum are among the fascinating visitor attractions nearby. Shop and pub within 300 yards.

Reviews
My stay was very enjoyable. The facilities were exceptional for a rented property. The area itself was a lovely place for a long weekend away, with plenty of places for walks, with 3 pubs within walking distance, which served food as well as there being takeaways close by. However inside the property there is an adequate facility to cook. It was nice that we were able to take our dog along.
